Type of Agaricus:  Sep 2013. Three smallish Agricus mushrooms growing near a Horse Chestnut. Three. Smallish.
Horse Mushroom:  Sep 2013. Growing in grass. Eaten. ID is almost sure.
Horse Mushroom:  Sep 2013. Growing in grass. ID is almost sure.
Collybia Inodora:  Sep 2013. Growing in grass near beech. White with distinctive brown centre. ID is almost sure.
Fairy Ring Mushroom:  Oct 2013. Growing in rings on grass.
Yellow Stainer:  Oct 2013. Smell a bit unpleasant. ID is very likely.
Type of Russula:  Oct 2013. Growing in grass under beech.
Chicken-of-the-Woods:  Oct 2013. Growing on an old pollarded sycamore. One. 30cm across. ID is almost sure.
Artists Fungus:  Oct 2013. Growing on an old pollarded sycamore. 30cm across. ID is fairly likely.
Horse Mushroom:  Oct 2013. Growing in grass beside trees. Spores seem a bit too small for Horse Mushroom. Eaten. ID is very likely.
Flowery Blewit:  Nov 2013. Growing in grass near to alder. Cap 7-15cm. Perfumed blewit type smell. ID is fairly likely.

Pavement Mushroom:  May 2014. Growing in grass. Groups of two - five. Cap 4-7cm. But one big one 12cm, If it's the same species. Mushroomy smell but with slight ammoniacal overtone. Nice mushroomy taste. Pushing up through the earth and generally staying close to ground. Eaten. ID is very likely.
Glistening Inkcap:  May 2014. Growing from earth right next to ash tree. Three big clumps around 18cm across. 2-5cm. No smell.
Lumpy Bracket:  Aug 2014. Growing on poplar stump. Up to 12cm across. No smell. Large white lumps on top of stump and brackets on side. Tough and rubbery.
Unidentified:  Aug 2014. Growing on sides of ash stump. Up to 60cm across. Mushroomy smell. Large lumpy patches. Tough flesh.
Oyster Mushroom:  Aug 2014. Growing from base of stump. Each fan up to 12cm across, full width 24cm. Pleasant mushroomy smell. ID is very likely.
Beefsteak Fungus:  Aug 2014. Growing on ash stump. 15cm across. Fungusy smell. Flesh fibrous and rubbery but easy to cut. Strong red on outside but yellowish on inside. ID is very likely.
Fairy Ring Mushroom:  Aug 2014. Growing in rings and also scattered around. Cap 2-4cm. Faint fungusy smell.
Grey Puffball:  Aug 2014. Scattered around in short grass. 2-4cm. Strong pleasant mushroom smell. Very mild flavour. Casing breaks away easily. Old fruiting bodies more grey than brown. Eaten. ID is fairly likely.
The Prince:  Aug 2014. Growing under sycamore. Immature cap 9cm across. Whole body 12cm high. Almond smell. ID is fairly likely.
Field Mushroom:  Aug 2014. Growing in short grass. Only one. Cap 4.5cm. Mushroom with aniseed hint. ID is fairly likely.
Unidentified:  Aug 2014. Growing under sycamore. Cluster of about 8. Immature cap 2-5cm. Plesant mushroom/almond smell. Flesh bruising somewhat red.
Brown Mottlegill:  Aug 2014. In grass near oak. Only a few. 1.5-2cm. Slight fungus smell. ID is very likely.
Unidentified:  Aug 2014. In grass near oak. Only a few. Cap 3.5cm, 5-7cm tall.
Unidentified:  Aug 2014. In earth/grass under oak. Two. Cap 4-6cm. Smell indistinct. Soft flesh bruising red at stem base and top of cap.
Sepia Bolete:  Aug 2014. In earth/grass under oak. One. Cap 7cm. ID is best guess.
Russula cicatricata:  Aug 2014. In earth/grass under oak. A few scattered around. Cap 4cm. Slight odd/unpleasant smell at first, later very fishy. Taste mild, slightly sweet. Old dryish specimen would not peel. Young one peeled over half. Spores minutely spikey.
Weeping Widow:  Aug 2014. Growing by elder tree. Cap 4-10cm. No smell. ID is almost sure.
Unidentified:  Aug 2014. Brackets on side and bottom of log. Up to 10cm across. Mild fungus smell.
Cramp Balls:  Aug 2014. Growing on deciduous log. Up to 6cm across.
Unidentified:  Aug 2014. Brackets on deciduous stump. Up to 13cm across. Sweetish smell.
Fairy Ring Mushroom:  Aug 2014. In grass. Over 20 rings all over the park.
Unidentified:  Aug 2014. Growing in grass not near any tree. Two together and one further away. Cap 3-4cm. No smell.
Unidentified:  Sep 2014. Growing in grass beside path near site of ash tree (I think) that was cut down several months ago. Group of 3 or 4. Cap 3-4cm. Faint mushroom smell.
Unidentified:  Sep 2014. Growing on earth/grass near lime tree. Group of 4. Cap 2-5cm. Very faint fungus smell. Cap splitting very much.
Oyster Mushroom:  Sep 2014. Growing on base of deciduous stump. Lobes up to 10cm across. Mild pleasant mushroom smell. Mild mushroomy. Eaten.
Hen of the Woods:  Sep 2014. Growing on base of deciduous stump. Multiple lobes with full body 15cm across. Smell faint. Young specimen. Very fibrous but soft flesh. ID is almost sure.
Fairy Inkcap:  Sep 2014. Growing next to deciduous stump, perhaps on buried root. Two clumps with many tiny mushrooms. Cap 0.25-1cm. Stem 2-3cm high. No smell. ID is best guess.
Unidentified:  Sep 2014. Growing on ash stump. Two. Cap 2.5cm wide and 2.5cm deep.
Fairy Inkcap:  Sep 2014. Growing on roots/base of ash stump. Two clumps of many small mushrooms. Cap 0.5-1.5cm wide and 0.5-1.5cm high. No smell. ID is best guess.

Chicken-of-the-Woods:  Sep 2014. Growing at base of ash tree. Immature specimen 17cm across. Fungusy mushroom smell.
Giant Puffball:  Sep 2014. Growing in grass in park. Probably two but broken up. Around 25cm across. Fungusy mushroom smell.
Shaggy Scalycap:  Sep 2014. Growing at base of sycamore. One big cluster. Cap up to 5cm, cluster 18cm across. Smell mushroomy.
Unidentified:  Sep 2014. Growing in grass under oak. Just a few. Cap 0.75-1.5cm. Mushroomy smell.
Brown Ear:  Sep 2014. Growing in earth amongst grass under oak. Two or three. 2cm across. No smell. ID is almost sure.
Horse Mushroom:  Sep 2014. Growing in grass in large partial ring about 15 foot across. About 20 immature mushrooms. Cap of immature specimens up to 8cm. Smell mild mushroomy perhaps a hint of almond/aniseed. ID is almost sure.
Silky Rosegill:  Sep 2014. Growing beside log in rotting grass debris. Two. Cap 12cm. Earthy smell, I thought with hint of radish but book says beansprout. Two beside each other, one open with large open volva and one still contained in large volva. Volva sticky and smelly and attracting small flies. Stem stongly rooting. Gills whitish, later after picking becoming flesh coloured. Stem tapering towards top. Top of cap with small fibrils and wooly feel, except centre smooth. No ring.
Matt Bolete:  Sep 2014. Growing under maple. Two small groups. Cap 3-6cm. Faint pleasant mushroom smell. Flesh in cap bruising blue. Flesh in stem bruising yellow. ID is almost sure.
Unidentified:  Sep 2014. Growing under maple. several scattered around. Cap 1.5-2cm. 3cm high. No smell.
Type of Fibrecap:  Sep 2014. Growing under maple. One cluster and also trooping. Cap 1.5-3cm. No smell.
Brown Rollrim:  Sep 2014. Growing in waste ground, not particularly close to trees. Several scattered around. Cap 6-10cm. No smell.
Scaly Earthball:  Sep 2014. Growing in grass near small oak. Small clusters and some scattered. 4-8cm across. Faint mushroom smell. Flesh staining red.
White Dapperling:  Oct 2014. Growing in grass near small tree. One. Cap 5cm, height 8cm. Faint mushroom smell. Totally white. ID is best guess.
Clustered Brittlestem:  Oct 2014. Growing in grass. Huge dense clusters. Cap 2-4cm. Clusters up to 30cm across. Faint fungusy smell.
Drab Bonnet:  Oct 2014. Growing in short grass. Many scattered around. Cap 0.3-1cm. Height up to 4cm. Smell a bit earthy/musty? ID is almost sure.
Yellow Stainer:  Oct 2014. Growing in grass. Several troops. Cap up to 4cm but looks immature. Unpleasant smell. Flesh bruising yellow especially at cap edges.
Shaggy Scalycap:  Nov 2014. Cluster on the base of an ask tree. Cap 3.5-8cm. smell mushroomy.
Rootlet Brittlestem:  Nov 2014. Growing in tall grass. One. Cap 3cm. 12cm high. Very strong mushroom smell. ID is almost sure.
Unidentified:  Nov 2014. Growing beside small oak tree. Two. Cap 9-12cm.
Veiled Oyster:  Nov 2014. Growing from cracks in large log. Two small clusters. Cap 3.5-4.5cm but immature. Faint mushroom smell. ID is almost sure.
Clouded Funnel:  Nov 2014. Growing through leaf litter near ash and oak. Several trooping. Cap 8-15cm. Faint slightly perfumed smell. Large, old and quite maggoty.
Spectacular Rustgill:  Nov 2014. Growing on ash tree wood debris and maybe buried stump. Large clusters. Cap 4-9cm. Smell mushroomy. ID is best guess.
Sticky Scalycap:  Nov 2014. Growing on ash tree wood debris and maybe buried stump. Several clusters. Cap 2-4cm. Faint mushroom smell. Some greyer and others white. ID is almost sure.
Orange Peel Fungus:  Nov 2014. Growing on earth amongst wood debris. Clustered and dotted around. Cups 0.5-4cm across. No smell.
Sulphur Tuft:  Nov 2014. Growing on ash tree wood debris and maybe buried stump. Clusters. Cap 2-4cm. No smell.
Galerina nana:  Nov 2014. Growing on earth amongst ash tree wood debris. A few scattered around. Cap 1-2.5cm. No smell. ID is guess.
Unidentified:  Nov 2014. Growing on ash tree wood debris. A few scattered around. Cap 1-4cm. No smell.
The Prince:  Nov 2014. Growing right beside a large sycamore. One. Cap 8.5cm. Smell strongly of almond. Smells like marzipan to me!
Oyster Mushroom:  Nov 2014. Growing on old stump. One large mature cluster.
Wood Blewit:  Nov 2014. Growing under fir trees. Some very young, some very old. Cap 3.5-6cm. Smell perfumed mushroomy. Eaten.

Parasola auricoma:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass. Several scattered individuals. Cap 2-3.5cm. No smell. ID is very likely.
Veiled Oyster:  Nov 2014. Growing on deciduous log. One. Fan 19cm across. Mild smell, not distinctive. Nice flavour and firm texture. Eaten. ID is almost sure.
Yellow Stainer:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass. several in a cluster. Cap 8-12cm. Faintly unpleasant smell. Flesh not showing any sign of turning yellow, I assume because these were very old specimens. ID is almost sure.
Flowery Blewit:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass not near any trees. Two together. Cap 10-13cm. Stem 6 x 1.5-2cm. Perfumed smell. ID is guess.
Unidentified:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass beside tree (maybe aspen). Two together. Cap 2-4cm. Stem 4cm. Faint mushroom smell. Small one has white rim on cap.

Ivory Bonnet:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass. Several scattered around. Cap 0.7-1.8cm. No smell.
Common Inkcap:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass amonst leaf litter. Many large clusters. Cap up to 6cm across. No smell.
Unidentified:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass amonst leaf litter. One small cluster. Cap up to 5cm across. No smell. When drying became gossamer-like rather than deliquescing.
Field Blewit:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass near sycamores. Two widely apart. Cap 7-10cm. Stem 6cm. Smell strongly perfumed. Eaten.
Unidentified:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass near sycamores. One large beside one tiny. Cap 9cm. Stem 6 x 3.3cm. Smell perfumed.
Parasol:  Nov 2014. Growing amongst leaf litter near to trees. One. Cap 15cm.
Macrolepiota rhacodes:  Nov 2014. Growing in grass beside path. Group of three. Cap 8-11cm. Stem 10-16cm. Smell pleasant and mushroomy. ID is almost sure.
Wood Blewit:  Dec 2014. Growing under fir trees, and also under sycamore. Several in both habitats. Cap 5-10cm. Perfumed smell. Eaten.
Agaricus gennadii:  Dec 2014. Growing through needles under fir trees. One today and one 2 weeks ago. Cap 11cm. Smell faint and mushoomy, but the one earlier had unpleasant smell. Squat bulbous stem, but the one earlier had longer stem. Spores subspherical. ID is guess.
Parasola leiocephala:  Sep 2015. Growing in earth amongst grass near oak tree. Two. Cap 1-2cm, stem 4cm. ID is best guess.
Red Cracking Bolete:  Sep 2015. Growing in earth under poplar tree. Two old and one young. Cap 6-13cm. Smell mushroomy. ID is almost sure.
Chicken-of-the-Woods:  Sep 2015. Growing at the base of a healthy Horse Chestnut. One cluster tiny and young, one old. Young cluster 7cm across.
Bonfire Inkcap:  Sep 2015. Growing in grass near old ash stump. Three scattered. Cap 3.5 across and 3.5cm high, stem 5-8cm. Slight mushroomy smell. ID is guess.
Unidentified:  Sep 2015. Growing in long grass near oak tree. Group of four. Cap 2.5-3cm, stem 5-6cm. No smell, but perhaps slightly fruity. Honey coloured.
Psathyrella lutensis:  Sep 2015. Growing in grass near oak tree. Group of three. Cap 1.5-2cm. No discernable smell but not enough to be sure. Very brittle stem. ID is best guess.
Inocybe assimilata:  Sep 2015. Growing in grass near oak tree. One. Cap 2.5cm. No smell. ID is possible.
Brown Rollrim:  Sep 2015. Growing near oak tree. Troop of more than a dozen.
Matt Bolete:  Sep 2015. Growing amongst moss and grass near site of buried stump, about 15 yards from the nearest tree. One. Cap 3cm. No smell. Very yellow tubes. Flesh turning strongly blue when bruised. Poor collection of spores so measurements could be inaccurate. ID is wild guess.
Agaricus altipes:  Oct 2015. Growing in braid litter under conifer trees. Four scattered. Cap 3.5-4cm, stem 3-4.5cm. Smell slightly of mushroom. ID is guess.
Unidentified:  Oct 2015. In grass near small deciduous tree. One. Cap 1.5cm, stem 3cm. Not enough to smell - perhaps slightly mushroomy.
Silky Rosegill:  Sep 2017. Growing on large rotting log in clusters. Ten. Cap up to 17cm. Stem around 10cm. Weight of the biggest was 295g. I thought a mild pleasant earthy smell but a tiny bit foetid. The book says they smell of beansprouts, which seems about right. Covered in fine fibrils. Gills white then flesh colour. Eaten.
